Starting Monday I’m going to make the NOON hour ALL REQUEST!  With one “Hook”.  It’s going to take a little quick brain work and an expert knowledge of the alphabet.  We call it “The Hook Up”.  This is how it works:

I’ll play a request like “For Those About To Rock” by ACDC.  The next song has to start with the last letter of the previous song. Like “King Nothing” by Metallica. Then the next song would have to start with a G.  Get it?  Some people call it the “Dictionary Game” or “Barrel Of Monkeys”.  I wanted to call it “Pulling A Train” but my boss wasn’t to enthusiastic about that.  So as long as you’re familiar with the English Alphabet you’re all set.  And if you’re not then you probably can’t read this anyway.

Another very important rule is e and x are wild.  If a song ends with either you can request anything and we’ll start it all again.(and by anything I don’t mean Beiber or Gaga)  Oh, and that reminds me, parenthesis don’t count.

“The” and ”A” count and numbers are spelled out.

“The Hook Up” starts at Noon Monday and will be every weekday.  Now is the time to get creative and maybe hear some stuff you don’t usually hear on WAAF.  Here’s the number, have it ready: 617-931-1AAF

p.s. My boss has limited me to only one Rush song per “Hook Up”.  What a hater.

  1. Good songs to follow:

“Get Down Make Love” by Queen, wild card: “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns and Roses, wild card: “Bad Company”, by Bad Company, “Yankee Rose” by David Lee Roth. I’ll let you pick the wild card next.
