It’s a good thing for Muse,  Bono had to have World Tour postponing back surgery.  Or else they wouldn’t have The Edge joining them at The Glastonbury Festival in the U.K. this past weekend.  They do a pretty good job and the light show is crazy! 

Glastonbury is one of the things I want to do before I die.  Along with Download, Bonnaroo, and Coachella.  I was at the Reading Festival in England in 1995 and had an amazing time.  The headliners that year were Cypress Hill, Primal Scream, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.  Three days of drink, smoke, and International Relations.  It was amazing they packed 100,000 people from all over the world on to a farm in the English countryside without any major incidents.  The leaders of the world might want to try having treaty talks at a massive outdoor music festival.  At one point, with the help of  people from Texas, Sweden, and Scotland, we were able to scrounge the makings for a joint before the Chili Peppers hit the stage.  It was a great moment in International Cooperation.

Guitar legend Carlos Santana, took his friend music mogul Clive Davis’ advice and recently recorded an album of cover songs! They are not just any cover songs either… They are all ROCK CLASSICS, recorded with current rock superstars!

This album sounds like it is going to be AWESOME!

Rob Thomas on Cream’s Sunshine of Your Love, Joe Cocker on Jimi Hendrix’s Little Wing, Scott Weiland on the Rolling Stones’ Can’t You Hear Me Knocking, Chris Daughtry on Def Leppard’s Photograph, Chris Cornell on Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love, Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix on Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water and Nas on AC/DC’s Back in Black.

The album is due out in September and Santana said  ” I was like, ‘No, I don’t know if I want to do this one, Clive. This one’s a little challenging.’ And he would stay on the phone for at least 45 minutes to an hour, three times in one year, and I was like, ‘Oh, lord…’ But then I started realizing that someone with that intense passion of commitment couldn’t be wrong, so I had to trust him. And it was incredible”

He added “What I brought to the table is my heart, knowing that I complement, I don’t compete. We’ve been playing their classic songs for years!!! You still request them and obviously still love them, so why wouldn’t the band want to get back together and make a new album?!?

Like many other bands of their era like Candlebox, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and STP… Bush have reunited and are releasing a new album titled  ‘Everything Always Now’ in October! They’ll be playing their first show together in 8 years in California in September!

The Trouble With Tribbles is they can’t hold their Pomegranate Martinis. Then they start shit with the Klingons and get your ass kicked out every time. Next thing you know, you’re caught in the Tholian Web drinking with a midget that looks like Clint Howard.

Maybe some of these people did something heroic in the past?  Maybe they just let someone cut into their lane on the highway?  Maybe that tree that stopped that rolling car from crushing that guy will come back as Scarlett Johanssen’s sex toy?  I wish I could apply the power of all this luck to the Powerball.  The last one is too good to be true.  It’s like a “Naked Gun” Movie.

The similarities between an actual Slayer crowd and these sheep is uncanny. I guess both feel a similar power from their source of inspiration. At this point I would say something like, “Why can’t we all just get along?”, but then we wouldn’t have Satanic Speed Metal.  The Power Of Slayer Compels You!
